Love, Life and Marriage - Part Two

Brain-dead woman may give birth

A brain-dead pregnant US woman on life life-support has reached the stage of pregnancy where her baby could survive outside the
womb, her family says.

Susan Torres

What will he do once the baby is safely delivered?
If he opts to "let his wife die," there is a sense where his current actions are more degrading than what took place in other recent news events. Is his wife merely a human incubation machine - or the mother of a child? I don't know a thing about his future plans... but am interested to watch.

For Love, Life and Marriage!

Here is a very interesting article from this week's Maclean's that recounts the story of two people who are esteeming love, marriage and children above themselves.

The Trustworthiness of Scripture

While studying my way through Romans 8 the last few weeks, I was struck anew by the perfect nature of Scripture. The book of Romans is an incredibly logical and consistent book. The layers of Truth that stack one on another make this fact all the more impressive. Time and again, just when it appears Paul is about to contradict himself, he doesn't! All of this has re-affirmed and strengthened my conviction that every word of the original text is God-breathed.
So many postmoderns reject that.
I wonder: 1) Do they regularly read the Bible? 2) Are they victims of their own pride? (
1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for 'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'”) It takes a certain amount of humility to subject yourself to a book written thousands of years ago.
